SAT and ACT Test Prep
The Smith Center for Learning offers Test Prep for college admissions for both the SAT and the ACT. We offer traditional classes, refresher courses and extension courses, online tools, online courses and private or small group instruction. Please let us know how we can help you to prepare in a method that works best for you. Below are some of our current offering. This is not an online course; it is taught by one of our SAT / ACT experts live each week. Students join the class via zoom and have the flexibility to miss a class and have access to the live recording. This class allows student to enjoy every week of their summer while still making the commitment to achieve their highest test scores on either the SAT or the ACT.
Students will take two digital practice tests outside of class time. Six classes are dedicated to test content and strategies. Students are assigned homework based on their individual needs.
The class meets according to the schedule below. The schedule is somewhat flexible so please let us know in the comments of the registration if there are any scheduling conflicts that we may resolve.

Practice Test - Students are encouraged to take a second online practice test prior the actual SAT or ACT.

This online resource is offered in partnership with Test Innovators and is an extension to our traditional test prep classes. This is offered to those students who are currently enrolled in an ACT or SAT class at The Smith Center for Learning, or who have completed an ACT or SAT in the current year. This resource is ideal for the motivated student who wishes to have access to additional resources for independent study. As an add-on to our traditional class, this program offers all of the valuable resources and individualized data driven feedback that is included in our classes. Students will have access to the online resource materials for one full year. Together with our traditional class, students can prepare for the test day in a variety of formats for added confidence and success on test day.
One time fee of $200 for full access for one year.

The ACT Extension class is intended to be taken after completion of the SAT class and not considered a stand alone course. This class will meet three times to focus on the areas of the ACT that are not specifically taught in the SAT course. This class also includes a full length practice ACT test so student can apply the material learned in class to the test.

We offer private instruction for the ACT and SAT on request. The rate is $140/ hour. Instruction is offered either remotely or in person at a schedule to be agreed upon by the student and the instructor. Our tutors are experts in their subject and will work with you to create a schedule that meets your needs.
